Where Google Androids Future Is Headed
The complete software system, Google Android, is useable on many types of mobiles: phones, PDAs, et cetera. This is developed by the big names in consumer electronics, such as Google, Motorola, Samsung, Intel, LG, HTC, and several others. However, Google was the first company in this conglomerate to begin the creation of this system with the goal of bringing one, open standard for every mobile device. Then, when other businesses joined in, an alliance was born: OHA, or Open Handset Alliance.
The very first Android platform, made with Linux Kernel 2.6, soon came to fruition. This platform brought the OHA promoters, Sony, Ericsson, Vodafone, and Toshiba Corp, much applause. As 2008 came to a close, the open source Android was released to the public. This platform is modified to be used with larger VGA, graphic libraries in 2D and 3D, and MP3s on basic open licenses. The Best and Worst Free Android Games
The users of HTC Magic, T-Mobile G1, and other Android phones will be happy to know that are many Android Market games to download, and they are all free. So, the following will tell you which games to play and which games are just a waste of time.
Mahjong. This Japanese matching game stays true to the original. However, the only device compatible with Mahjong is the touchscreen. Because the images are so small, it is unfortunately too difficult to use, unless you have small, thin fingers.
Mem. This memory game is much like Simon Says. You must choose the correct icons displayed as fast as you can. Unlike Mahjong, it works great with touchscreens, and Mem makes some cool, crazy sounds. But, as far as long-term playability goes, this game does not have that appeal. (more…)
Review: Android Smart Phone
It’s been some time since T-Mobile’s G1, which utilizes Google’s ground-breaking Android Operating System, was made available for purchase. Finally, the concept has began to expand, especially now that there are many Android and smart phones on the market. Here is a review of every Android phone, past and present.
T-Mobile G1
T-Mobile G1 is the dynamic, first “Google Phone” that was made public in October ’08, which was said to be iPhone’s biggest competitor. Some users thought that the G1 produced by HTC, Taiwanese mobile experts, did not live up to the hype. The phone was just too bulky, and its sliding keyboard was too cumbersome?couldn’t be used with only one hand.
But, to the G1′s credit, there were many outstanding technological innovations, especially the smooth integration of many Google apps: maps, street view, and search. And, the G1 users were pleased with the internet connection’s speed and reliability, which means that T-Mobile accomplished their goal of actually making the internet mobile. (more…)
How I plan to spend cyber Monday
As you all probably know, cyber Monday is coming up pretty fast! Cyber Monday is the Monday right after the biggest shopping day of the year, which is the Friday right after Thanksgiving! In the past, cyber Monday was the time to order everything that you couldn’t find at the store on Friday so that you could still have it by Christmas, but things are a lot different now!
The truth is that Cyber Monday Online Deals are just too hard to ignore anymore. In all actuality, Cyber Monday 2009 Online Deals are going to be better than they ever have! If you are smart, (like I believe I am…), you will think twice about getting all of your Christmas presents this year locally, and focus more on cyber Monday online deals. In truth, a lot of websites have picked up on this excitement, and the amount of money that you will be able to save on Cyber Monday this year will drastically out-do any amount of savings you would get shopping locally.
So, I have formulated a plan. This year, I am going to do ALL of my shopping on Cyber Monday. I am especially looking forward to the deals on name brand clothing and apparel that you can get online, as I have a lot of family members who really enjoy trendy, name brand wear. Of course, I will be on the look for a good Android deail!
So be smart this year, and make cyber Monday your day of choice for Christmas shopping!
